I run loopies on my hammock stand in the house, cuz I can make them as short as I need and I can leave them there and just take the hammock and not have to adjust anything when I put it back.
In the "wild" when using either UCR's or whoopies and minimum hang distance is an issue, I actually make them longer and make multiple passes between the hammock and the toggle. Minimum hang distance is basically a myth, at least in reference to whoopies or UCR's.
