Only 2 trees required. Less weight for sure. No poles to keep the bugnet off as both hammocks have independent Ridgelines. Other than that....I don't know. Never seen a vertext up close.

I'm camping Friday night....I think I can do that. We'll be using the stand and everything.

It does have a ton room. It's made from the extra wide silpoly. Each side has room for a chair with room to spare!

Saw this hammock (these hammocks??) this weekend, the group showed a lot of interest. Very well thought out design, nicely done! Any updates for us?? Perhaps a Robic 1.2 version??

Were you at Higgins lake? That's where I had my setup this weekend. Or did you see someone else's setup? There is only a few chimeras in the wild right now.

I am throwing a few ideas around in my head on how to add an removable/stowable overcover option...I have made a tablet harness so my wife and I can watch movies before we crash...

So far we both are really pleased with the comfort of the hammock and ability to store extra clothes/blankets and whatknot is awesome. And we stay close but not too close...

There will definitely be new versions in the future... Maybe a lightweight version for hiking trips...But for now this is definitely a car camping rig.
