    Hello from Ontario

    Hello from Ontario!
I’m a lifelong camper who started hammocking last year and I’ll never look back. I still have a lot to learn but that’s the fun part. I am excited to have found this community and all the invaluable information you all have shared.

Welcome NGW, hope to see you out at one of our EGL hangs. Past trip reports are posted on this forum, most recently a May canoe trip through Algonquin. Lots to learn & lots of great folks here willing to share!

Hi NorthernGreyWolf, welcome to the Forums from downtown Toronto!

I got my start into hammocking after coming across these forums years ago and have never been so impressed by the outstanding people I've met and the excellent information I've found on Hammock Forums.

As you will no doubt notice, there's a good number of like minded Ontario hangers. Whether you like canoeing, hiking, winter camping, car camping or just eating excessive amounts of grilled meats, keep your eyes peeled for a local hang; they're a great way for someone getting started to see the wide range of solutions to some common hanging challenges. The EGL hangs mentioned above are always fun and everyone's welcome. Hope to see you out there.

You'd think so, but I can't tell you how long it sometimes takes me to find those two "perfect" trees in a forest! Span between trees, closeness to the group, distance from the group, scenery, widowmakers.. Argh!
