    Stolen WBBB XLC in Michigan

Hello all, I doubt this thread will turn into anything but figure it can't hurt to try. My DA left my backpack outside during the last night of the Electric Forest Music Festival near Rothbury, MI last weekend and my WBBB XLC was in there with the open ended dutch biner, along with a Canon Powershot G7x. If any of you see one for sale in the area of Grand Rapids, or even down into Ohio/PA, that's where many of the people that were there are from.

I doubt the thief has much idea of what he has so be on the lookout for someone that doesn't appear to know what they are selling. If they have one that has dutchgear on it but they do not describe the specific dutch bling on it, I would be weary. Comes in one of the double-ended stuff sacks with "Head" written on one end of the sac. Please contact me if you see something that matches this description. Thank you very much.

I am in Oregon, a long way away, however I will watch Craigslist and a couple of other sites with outdoors gear.

Ebay is also a likely spot.

Try calling or contacting some pawn shops or Cash-On-The-Run shops in the area.

Really sorry this has happened to you.

Thank you. I have been checking eBay as I know how rare it is to see one on there and anything on there in the next week would be suspicious. It looks like there is a picture of someone who was knowingly selling stolen goods going around on Facebook but they have not positively ID'd him yet and have no idea if that would be him or not. I'm sure there were multiple thiefs at an event that big that were crappy enough to take advantage of idiots like me.

That's sad. I have nothing but good memories of Rothbury. Will keep an eye out on the Indiana side.

    Sorry to hear about that!

Depending on the value of your items and your home owners deductible, you may be covered by your policy for theft outside your home. Might want to research it and give them a call.

    Here's hoping.

Neo had a hammock and quilts stolen off a tree at Meriwether Lewis National Monument and Campground a few years back.

I've actually been living on the road the past few years and have not had any HO insurance. Closing on property in Missouri in a few weeks.

I sympathize with your situation, I hate a thief. But the realist in me says as much as it sucks gone is gone. In the long run I think you would be better off not even renting space to it. chalk it up to life experience. Rest assured that the jerk that stole and uses your hammock will get struck by lightning, or tree or some other ill consequence.
