    Camo tarp

I would really like to find a digital camo tarp to use with my WB. At the moment, I'm using my old Nam pancho in woodland camo which is getting old.

When I travel, I've hung in everything from roadside rest stops to state parks. As long as I can do without a fire, I'm not real visible and look like just another thicket. Usually, I just have to worry about one side.

    Any thoughts?

I've surprised myself lately wanting a camo tarp for my WBBB. Normally i find camo a turn-off but i saw a video of a guy using a claytor camo diamond fly and it was invisible and looked good to me. I don't think its digital and digital would be my choice . You can try them , claytor jungle hammock site, and see what they have . Maybe they'll make one specifically out of digital, maybe brandon would make one for you. Good luck

I'm sure if you found a source for the material Brandon would hook you up.

That's one of the benefits of using a small "cottage" manufacture. Frankly, I'm sure Brandon can find the material, if you are willing to pay extra for the tarp. One other thing to consider is (I believe) camo tarps are a bit heavier as the material is "thicker" due to the camo pattern.

Rockywoods has some fabrics, but none of them are lightweight. http://www.rockywoods.com/Fabrics-Ha...rn-WBP-Fabrics

I have looked but yet to find digital camo in silnylon. Found some in what I thought was DWR ripstop and/or PU coated. It does weigh more due to coating. Seems to be a an item that is in low demand apparently. Maybe we can change that by getting a few suppliers involved.

Would love to get one in silnylon. Doubt there would ever be one in SpinnUL, unless the Army or Marines get into sailing.

While I would love to have a camo tarp, I think I would end up tearing it up. I have a really bad habit of walking around in the dark and tripping over my guylines. Add the camo-ness of the tarp into the equation and I'd never see it coming!

However, I will, someday, have a lightweight camo tarp!

Actually, I would say that finding camo silnylon would be more akin to finding the "Holy Grrrail". It may be out there somewhere, but I've never seen anyone or known anyone to actually have any. It's getting closer with the olive and brown colors, but still no "patterned" silnylon (that I've seen). Once we get to patterns on silnylon, then we'll see some cool tarps.

I'm dreaming of 1 camo tarp and 1 tie-dyed tarp as two fun possibilities.

If I ever get a hold of a tie-dye silnylon or spinnaker tarp I'm heading straight to the mountains to see what it looks like hung up in some Colorado Aspens!
