The shock cords are attached via a Larks Head knot at the center of the poles (yellow mark denotes center of the pole).

Based on everyone's reviews and some more research I have done, I think I will go with the double pole. Now the question is, should I get the tieouts as well or just skip them because I will have the poles?

I like the idea of having all my bases covered for the future. In reality though, would there be a time where you would use the pull outs over the poles?

I dislike tieouts, they can leak unless you seam seal them very well. I went with no tieouts on my WD12.

If you have the double pole internal, I see no reason to have the external tie outs...IMHO.

Very nice. I like the color too. Is that olive drab?

I have the dark olive for my hanger. I was thinking about getting a lighter color for the winter to let some more light through.

Thanks. Yes, that is a Winter Dream 12 in SilPoly Olive Drab with no panel pulls and the double end pole and center pole mods. I love this tarp, it is very impressive. Paul and Missy did a fantastic job! I like the lighter color, it doesn't get as hot in direct sun.

I think we have found a winner. Winter dream 12 in olive drab ordered. Got the double pole mod, no tieouts. I am holding off on getting the actual poles until closer to fall.

Thanks again for the help everyone.
