Tarp Giveaway - Warbonnet Cloudburst - Scouts, Scout Troop Only

Sorry I am limiting this giveaway to Scouts, Scout Masters, Scout Troops etc. We need to keep getting these kids outside

Since getting into bridge hammocks this year, I've gone a little nuts on tarps. I loved this cloudburst but wanted to explore the same style with a 13 foot length for better coverage, in cuben, silpoly etc. Well now I've got both and this cloudburst is never going to get used so I'm giving away to the community with the above caveat. It has only been out on two trips and in like new condition. I have a couple of flyz on the ridgeline and lines with prusik loops on the guy outs. All you'll need is line for your ridgeline tie outs (or side pullouts if you use them). Also has snakes skins. While made for the ridge runner it works perfectly fine on gathered ends, 90 degree, ground set ups or as a group area shelter, so feel free to respond even if you don't use a bridge style hammock in your troop (or personal kit).

I'll let this run for a week so that it can get the maximum exposure, then I'll run a random number generator based on rank to determine who shall receive next Saturday the 29th at 9 PM CST. Simply state "I'm in" and you're in, this being Hammock Forums the honor system will suffice and I'll assume you are involved somehow with Scouts. Parents obviously please feel free to jump in for your scout offspring, I realize many will not be forum members as teens have way more exciting things to do than hang out with us and discuss how to boil water quicker.

    Thanks all.

What tarp did you end up going for to cover your RR?

Well, I am neither a Scout Master or a Scout troop, but I want to say this is a great thing you are doing. We do need to get kids out in the wild more. Kids these days are so sheltered in their houses with their video games it is ridiculous.

A great give away idea. I just returned from our week long scout camp and loved every night in my hammock. Last year we had 25 in our troop who learned to sew and make a hammock. They have been improvising with blue tarps on many campouts. A real tarp for the gear closet will be a great addition for their next step.
    Thanks! "I'm in"!

    "I'm in".

As long as you consider a Fire Department Explorer program, which is a division of the Boy Scouts. That would be awesome, I've got two kids right now that need tarps.
