    Zipper guide/stops?

About to do my first integrated bug net hammock and settled on the normal #3 zipper length (22' for 11' hammock?) and slides (2 double-sided for flexibility). I tried the searches but can't find the zipper guides/stops to make it detachable. I didn't see an order spot on Ripstopbytheroll either. Do they come with the zipper length? Searches on Google bring up almost everything but.

    Thanks!
(from the single guy with 8 hammocks who is trying another... But they keep getting better!)

You cant really make your own as you cant really souce the key for the separating part.
You can buy separating zippers for hammocks.

I did make a diy version but its a but complicated

    Tacblades zips

MikekiM just made his first DIY hammock using Tacblades zipper tute.

If you want to be able to reverse the net (asymetrical) you'll need to get the chameleon (vision not visLon) from Dutchware. You'll need two and you have to request them via custom order item. $9 each.

EDIT > Tac beat me to it!

So I either make an integrated bug net bag at one end that it folds into like my Clarke hammocks have, or I just completely wasted my money. This comes on the heels of discovering my best-ever Ridgeline bag disappeared before I could actually put it on a hammock. Just not my day so far. On the lighter side, if this is the worst that happens I'm doing just fine!

To be honest going forward i will only be doing a zip all the way round with 4 sliders and storage peak bag, because its very light and if its removable there is a chance to forget to bring it.

I'm thinking that would be easier in the long run. I could easily turn the triangle (another first) into the storage bag and simply run shock cord through the hem like a knotty mod to hold the net in. We shall see how it goes.

Having just finished mine, I am undecided whether the fully detachable or peak-bag stuffed version is more desirable. Mine is fully detachable and it seems to be just fine. But bugs have been low key so far this year and I am leaving the net tied back more often than not. That said, you know the trip I leave it home will be the trip I get devoured.

I used Tac's hammocks, and a few others, for inspiration. Though the net is fully removable, I have yet to take it off...so I have to wonder what would be best.

Pretty sure my next hammock is going to be a UL cat cut and i have to weigh the benefit of being able to remove the net versus a simple fixed net with a third of the zipper and the potential weight savings and/or a peak bagged net with dual zipper allowing for easy adjustments to UQ. Dunno if there is one 'best' hammock solution out there!!

    I think my next
