We used this setup when moving our horses from east coast to west coast and were able to tie a hammock on each side of our horse trailer and one stand under a tire on each side of our truck...so two hammocks with the one purchase. I used with both an 11 foot hammock and a 10 foot hammock. If used as intended under a front tire and back tire, you would be limited by the length between tires of the vehicle. It is also rather heavy; probably around 50 pounds total. But with some thought, creativity, and enough line to work around the vehicle you can tie off your tarp for rain protection.
