Father in law passed away peacefully 8 days ago at the nursing home. Wednesday he was doing his crosswords, watching ball games and having a normal day. Thursday morning he had some abdominal pain. Overnight he developed pneumonia. Friday morning he told the Dr. he was tired and wanted to go. He asked for all of us to come. We all got to see him and talk to him some. Early afternoon he was uncomfortable so they gave him some morphine. He settled down and went to sleep and passed an hour later. He went the way he lived, on his own terms when he was damned good and ready. He was 92.

If you can get Old4Hats to buy into the judging, he needs full bird colonel insignias. After all, he is an old bird!

Hey guys, I was just down at Yates place this weekend with my son for a quick overnight. We picked up a bag of trash while hiking 2 miles.

But I recommend we plan on bringing some trash bags with gloves to do some hiking and clean up some of the trails. It might be done before November but it would be good to be prepared. Perhaps a morning hike to get some junk picked up. It was quite a mess. Got to teach about us picking it up and making better for the next person too.

I sure wish I could be there, but I have a baby boy due on the 6th! He'll likely be a bit early, but I don't think I should bug out a few days after he comes. You guys have fun. I'll be jealous and ecstatic at the same time.
