I would like to ask this here. I went to Academy Sports yesterday and looked at their arrows. It made me think, which would be the better arrow to make toggles from, a Wooden Arrow, Fiberglass, or an aluminum arrow?

I have never had a problem with an aluminum toggle.
Have had a fiberglass one crush though.

I've use aluminum before with no issues. Wood would be ok. I'd stay away from fibreglass or carbon fibre. IIRC there was a carbon fibre arrow shaft toggle that failed on someone years ago. Whatever toggle you use, it only has to be strong enough to resist compression.
Don't let life get in the way of living.
$2 Walmart aluminum arrow works for me.

I've been using the carbon fiber for a couple years now. Never had any problems. Got them from Gander Mountain. They are just the arrow cut offs, so free is always good.
I think I remember that using cutoffs of carbon fiber shafts is okay, but to NOT use pieces from arrows that have been broken.
I would rather be in the woods... my dog would rather be in the pool. My wife thinks we are both nuts.
I am using part of an old fishing pole shaft near the base end not the tip end. I have had no issues. Been used now about 20 times. I weight 175.
