4 days canoeing at the Päijänne, Finland

We had good time last weekend with friends, but me and my friend Tuukka spend a few days more in the beautiful national park here in middle Finland.

Video coming later, enjoy the story and photos

Looks like a fun time in the woods and on the water. I've been itching to get out on my canoe but haven't been able. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for the report. I enjoyed reading it. Having cell phone coverage was a real advantage being able to call friends and get weather reports.

Yeah, this area we had full 4G (and sometimes 4g+ too) so we didn't have any worries.

Great report. Loved the photos. It looks really fun and it didn't look that buggy ... must be that time of the year huh, August the bug count goes down ? :-)

How many kilometers did You paddle every day ?

    Thank you all!

It wasn't buggy at all. We had quite cold spring and early summer, so there is not much of mosquitos etc. And since it was a bit windy, keeps bugs away. At the Kelvenne, Isohieta beach don't have bugs usually. Rest of the Kelvenne island have places where there are lot's of them.
First day 12km, second day 8-9, third day zero and last one 4km. Not much but enough for seeing nice views
