    Hello peoples.

Sorry I haven't been on here much. It's been a crazy busy summer between working and bagpipe lessons and competing. I haven't had much time for recreational activities. At all.

I'm really sorry to miss this trip. Ragged lake holds a special spot in my heart as it was the first interior camping trip I ever took and my introduction to my sons to interior camping when they were very small.

Unfortunately that week my boyfriend and I will be in Awenda in a trailer. I am however going to finally get him to Algonquin the week before and he will be introduced to his first canoe camping trip. It will be a very easy one on Canisbay but I am hoping he will like it enough to one day join us on something a little more extensive.

I hope everyone has a great trip. I will look forward to the trip report and keep my fingers crossed for the best weather. And Luv My Bonnet if you are reading this I only fished tenkara this summer. It was awesome.

Glad to hear you are OK. I was starting to wonder if you got hit by a bus?!?
I did some tenkara this Summer and caught some fish. The trip up to Opeongo I caught a Lake Trout. It's my best fish to this date. DSC_0033.jpg

I so wish I could go to this, but work is simply not going to allow it. I'll make it one of these days to an EGL canoe hang. You guys have fun.
    Good luck,

It would've been awesome to hear bagpipes in Algonquin! Another time perhaps?

It's not too bad, only about 8 hrs. Just about the time I'm tired of driving I'm there.
    Good luck,

That's a beauty. Did you catch that on your tenkara? Awesome!

Chard my dream ever since a solo trip to Galeairy a few years ago is to hear the pipes echoing off the Algonquin hills. One day.

I worked in Montserrat, West Indies (UK) for a few years and was fortunate to live a stones throw from the ocean just outside of Plymouth. One evening, while enjoying a beautiful sunset behind a few moored sailboats, I thought I could faintly hear the drone of pipes in the wind. Being a British colony it didn't seem totally out of place, but my curiosity was piqued. I went for a short walk and found a local pub owner, an expat himself, standing by the shore, pipes in hand, playing one tune or another. I guess he was inspired as well. He played until the sun sank below the horizon and then we turned back for a pint. Nice.

You could be a writer, Chard.
A few pending issues have come up and depending on how they play out, I may or may not be able to join. If I can, you know I will show up with some kind of Portuguese goodies!

    Hi All,

    Just putting this out there.

I am bringing with me some ground dwellers, three to be exact. All three are open to trying out moving to the trees from the ground. I have almost enough of my own gear to outfit them all. Albeit they will would be sleeping under small tarps using pads in the hammocks and one might need to use my bottom entry HH (Hopefully they wont fall through the hole while sleeping).

If anyone coming has "extra" gear they would be willing to share please PM me, if not they are also planning on bringing a small tent.

    Cheers,
    Iguana
