Have you SEEN Algonquin in full Fall glory? Totally worth it, plus you'd get to see a bunch of your handiwork in action!

I'm only doing the weekend portion of the trip - but i am sure one of us would be able to arrange something!!. Hamilton Airport is YHM, and Toronto is YYZ (as per the Rush song).
if you think your schedule allows - shoot me a pm.

I am considering this. As well I have a friend from Saskatchewan who is driving across Canada who might be able to make it. He loves the outdoors and canoeing in particular. Avid carver etc. Could I get a contact for him. He has his vehicle but no canoe. Wondering if there is a seat open.

It'd be great to meet you and your friend. Probably half of our crew would be driving by the Airport in one way or another. Check the google sheet for canoe spots, and worst comes to worst, there's a canoe outfitter next lake over.

By the way, I was thinking about making a pot of French Canadian Pea Soup for Friday and either Goulash, Chow'da or something totally new and untested () for Saturday. We could serve it up for supper or get it ready for about 2pm so we can have a late lunch and then have some room for our own dinners. I was going to leave all of the hardware (pots, etc..) in my car and pick up what groceries I need in Huntsville, or ask some of the Thursday/Friday crew bring it in. Of course, the BYOT (Bring Your Own Taters) system seems to work well. Anybody interested?

I'm thinking that I needed to get on this earlier rather than short notice.
Conflicts with seeing my daughters at University in Edmonton. However it
looks like Steve (my friend who's travelling) may be able to make it in my stead.
Very jealous. Love the colors of the leaves turning.

I may have to arrange to travel down in the spring with my wife and bring my own canoe.

I've got some Country Cured Bacon coming from the Squirrel Cooker guy I'd be willing to donate towards that soup.
If the minds of living beings are impure, their land is also impure, but if their minds are pure, so is their land. There are not two lands, pure or impure in themselves. The difference lies solely in the good or evil of our minds.

Albeit they will would be sleeping under small tarps using pads in the hammocks and one might need to use my bottom entry HH (Hopefully they wont fall through the hole while sleeping).

If anyone coming has "extra" gear they would be willing to share please PM me, if not they are also planning on bringing a small tent.

    Cheers,

Thanks all! It shows what a great community we have here, I have been able to secure hammocks and tarps.

Seems UQs are a bit more scarce.
