Just got mine. Quick test of a taut line hitch and it doesn't seem to hold. Too slippery. Have to try it on tie outs maybe and see what happens.

I just got mine and replaced my CRL that was 2.2 Zing it
I not only like the roundness and feel, but its works so much better with my Tato Connectors..
Thanks for the feedback. Are you using taut line hitches now successfully with Zing it? If so, then my Ironwire should work better for you. Tension testing the Zing it averages 17.1lbs until slippage whereas my Ironwire averages 24.8lbs until slippage. (This is using new line) But if you were to take a taut line hitch and pull it up and down the line letting it slip back and forth the whole way a few times. Sort of "setting the line/breaking it in". Then the number drops down to 13.4lbs on average for the Zing it and 16.9lbs on average for the Ironwire. So with the Ironwire there is an improvement over the Zing it in both scenarios. The reason for this improvement is due to the fact that the line is rounder. It gives the taut line hitch more to bite on to.
But either way, I do not think the taut line hitch is a good hitch to use on either of these lines. Or anything Dyneema/Spectra. For a taut line hitch to work properly it needs ALOT of friction. So the best type of materials for it are Nylon and Polyester. For comparison my 2mm Glowire will hold a taut line hitch until the line fails. So this is over 250lbs. It just doesn't slip.
That said, in my opinion the taut line hitch is not really the best hitch for tensioning any kind of guylines. I think its widely used as its very easy to tie, but other than that I really don't think it offers much in the tensioning department. A truckers hitch on the other hand, is much better for tensioning as it gives you a camming action. Essentially working like a pulley to give you a mechanical advantage. The truckers hitch makes it very easy to get your shelters drum tight and the best part is they do not slip with the high tech Dyneema/Spectra Lines (Like Ironwire and Zing it). So I suggest it to everyone who is not using hardware.. Give it a shot and let me know what you think.
I hope you find this information useful. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks for all the business!
Grog Knot App Animated Knots by Grog
Has info about knots with each knot. I ain't sure which knot you are using---tautline hitch, midshipman's hitch etc. Boy Scout Handbook has been showing wrong version and this has led to confusion and knots failing to grip.
I use Farrimond Friction Hitch with five wraps--this will give ten coils. This will hold Zingit. You might try fewer wraps to see what works for you.
FFH will tie really fast since you are not having to go to end of cord for each wrap. Also it when breaking camp--a simple tug on cord and entire knot disappears.
Midshipman's hitch will be better than tautline hitch for your tarp ridgeline
And FFH will be even better than the other two.

I think I need to update my Grog app...

You can search on line for Farrimond Friction Hitch and probably use four wraps giving eight coils.
Grog app has FFH, recently added, should have it on pay version App if updated.
For your tarp ridgeline, you can use reliable Truckers Hitch.
And if all else fails, there is Bling, that's fun too.

Is there any chance this may be offered in a reflective version in the future?
I know the glow wire is available , but I'm currently using zing it with hardware and not entirely certain the (even just slightly) larger line would be perfectly compatible. And the idea of the strength boost that comes from dyneema is another benefit. Tarp tieouts never actually need to be rated to 500 lbs but for repurposing in an emergency, anything helps
