If you become a donating member for a minimal fee you will discover several new forums one of which is off topic conversations. The moderates will moderate out any non hammock topics typically for this reason.
There are a number of off topic forums for donating members.

Cheers, I had noticed the donating member groups and will be donating soon.I was thinking more some of the tenuous links between hiking, foraging etc. Although not part and parcel of hammocking they do converge on occasion.
I love this site, and am happy to make my small yearly fee, donation, gift...
The generously shared knowledge and insight drive my imagination daily. And that's on the open forums.
The member forums are, to me, just the fun, sweet icing.
In the off topic forums that you get with becoming a donating member you get to see what we say about the r non-donating members.
