Fat Woman Hiking from West Virginia

I've lurked here for the last year maybe posting once and decided it was time to introduce myself. My screen name here is mikitta, but my blog is Fat Woman Hiking -- because I'm a short, fat, middle aged woman. Dear daughter and I went on an introductory backpack trip last year at Northbend State Park and one of our guides had a hammock, which I found to be very comfortable when he let me try it out. One thing led to another and here I am a year later, finally with enough backpacking and hammock gear to start my own forays into the West Virginia wilderness. Now if I can just find the time to go hang! Gotta love work ... sigh.

In any event, that's me. Pleased to meet ya.
