I have a couple of these that I use for day lounge and/or for kids to use. They are, IMO, too short for camping and I am only 5'2" tall. But that being said they are excellent for what I use them for at the 12.00 price point.

I recently bought a Tribe Provisions hammock via woot.com when the price was slightly higher at $16. Mine measures 9' 9", so perhaps the "10ft of fabric" is before sewing the end channels? I don't have a lot of experience with different hammocks, but I love the soft feel (and color) of this Purple hammock. I use it for day lounge, too, as it's just a little too narrow for me (I'm 5'4"). At $12, this is a good deal.

This is the first hammock I ever had,used it for about a year before I upgraded to a Dutch 11 footer. decent hammock though, a little too short for me but still comfortable enough to get away with. My daughter uses it now and loves it.
