Not new to the forum but newly signed in. Long time lurker. Been hammock napping for several years and now that I am camping more with my cub scout pack I hope to get more serious about it. My oldest son (8) slept above me "bunk style" at our last pack outing and he is hooked as well. He has been sleeping in his hammock every night since. Would like to work my way into backpacking with him and his little brother. I love to hike and love to camp so why not do both. Thanks for having me.

I'm in central KY as well. If you haven't already, you guys should check out the Red River Gorge. It's basically my home away from home. Lots of good backpacking, some for beginners and some more intermediate stuff.
