Newbie here drowning in choices and info.

I'll say Raven just 'cause I have a Raven and find it very comfortable.
    Carry forth.

If you're looking at SLD you owe it to yourself to check out the Streamliner. https://www.flickr.com/photos/204890...7633356829708/

Hard to beat DH, that's for sure. 5706A.jpg

I'll be near Omro this weekend, if it's not too far to drive, and could bring a few options with me for you to try. Maybe PM Harley, he's near you and might be able to help out?

I only have the Raven, and can't say enough good things about it. It's fantastic!

Both are fine hammocks. My Streamliner is great because it is so easy for me to exit. My streamliner is the only gathered end hammock I am able to exit with some grace.
Simply Light Designs is fast and perfect.

I had Thunderbird by Dream Hammock before the Ravin cameout, it was veey well constructed and designwd. I just couls not exit without help. I think because I am short and I am unable to push up with my arms when exiting.

If possible take advantage of the offers for a test hang. Really personal choice is the anawer. You will know which hammock or hammocks are your personal fit.

I've owned both, and have had no issues with either. Great vendors, great people, and great products!

I own three Trail Lairs (Simply Light Designs) as of 8:30 this morning when the third one arrived at the post office! I LOVE the Trail Lairs. I also own a used Thunderbird (Dream Hammock) I recently bought off the forum and it's a very nice hammock, too!

Really, it IS such a personal choice. Best case truly is to get to try both out side by side. Even THEN it's hard to tell because there are so many variables BESIDES just differences in design/style. All three of my Trail Lairs are comfortable, but all three have their own unique feel/lay because none are made from the same material and one is single layer while two are double layered. My favorite hammock is the single layer Hexon 1.6 Trail Lair. Followed by my single layer 1.7 Warbonnet Blackbird XLC.

I have 4 Ravens and 4 Trail Lairs. They are both equally fantastic hammocks.
The DH is highly customizable but you will wait 4-6 weeks for all that smurfy goodness.
The Trail Lair is a little less customizable but will be delivered most of the time in 3 days.

I suggest owning both since in my humble opinion.... They are the best hammocks (for me) available.

I've got a Trail Lair and I can definitely recommend it. Really well made with as many features as you desire. Simply Light is also really great at shipping and will get your hammock shipped within a day or two.
