CO - Hammock Friendly Backpacking near Denver or C Springs?

Hey folks,

I'm just in the research and digging phase. Work is sending me to the Denver/C Springs area a few times in the near future. I could use some advice on some overnight or 2 night hikes that are hammock friendly. Any info would be helpful.

Also, bear cans...are they a must or would a hung up ursac be acceptable?

Ask Chad from Colorado Outdoor Gear Supply (COGS). There's a newish thread in the "other vendors" section where he responded. I can 't remember his screen name but he is just south of Denver not far and might be able to help you out. He has a video or two of him hiking in and setting up hammocks too!

Bear "canisters" are required in rocky mountain national park. Outside of that, you can just use normal bear safety measures like hanging a sack.

Thanks! That's definitely helpful info. I checked out stuff from PMags too, but this is more in line with where I'm looking for.
