Actually, we were OK letting it go. Have another one up in Wisconsin . Not quite as good, it has some leaks...but that is fine for the trips that we foresee in the future.
Finishing the trip and having to sort out getting yourself back home or wherever is tricky. Similar to a thru hike, but with a bunch more gear.
We were amazed at the interest in the canoes when we tried to sell on Craigslist. Our phones were exploding with messages.

Congrats on completing the trip! I'll have to check out your full report. My brother did the Great Loop a few years back in a 30' aluminum boat he built. That was challenge enough. I can't imagine taking on the Missippi in a canoe.
