    Big South Fork - TN

This isn't a report, more of an inquiry. So if it needs moved, please do so.

I'm heading to Big South Fork mid October. Anyone have an idea on the normal weather? Planning on staying 4 nights with the family with a combination of two nights backpacking and two nights in the campground. Think a 40 UQ with a under quilt protector will work? I sleep cool.

Really depends on the weather. We could be super cold then or warm. TN weather is always changing

It was 48 degrees in Lexington KY this morning, I would assume it was about the same in BSF. I was in BSF over Labor Day weekend and the lows were about 52 both mornings. Last November, I was in BSF and the overnight low was about 60.

So, it depends. I think you will be ok with that setup, but you might want some extra clothes to balance out the "sleep cool" part.

on average, a 40* would work, but could definitely be cooler.
