Great job getting her out there! When is your son going to go with?

Very cool. Reminds me of my daughter, who is about the same age and loves backpacking. I haven't yet gotten her in a hammock overnight, maybe our next trip?

    Thanks for sharing.

Wonderful video. Your daughter is adorable and definitely not camera shy. I have a 13 yo daughter that I take to the woods as often as she will cooperate. Generally, mine is agreeable to go with me if she has a friend going with her. Your video reminds me that I need to emphasize fun over hiking when taking my daughter out. Also, makes me want to start videoing to preserve the memories. Thanks for sharing!

We do a lot of things together as a family and he and I do some things together, but as far as backpacking specifically - we haven't been in a few years. I did a video of that trip, but that was back when i had no clue no to video a trip, and its long and boring! He wants to go again...but little boys have a very short attention span so you have to do something that transitions fast...like short hikes. Physically he can do long trips...but mentally he gets bored fast. So you have to be creative. So we prefer ATV'ing or paintball...something with a lot more action!

Thanks Cory...you should get her in a hammock overnight! She'll love it i bet.

Now she wants a FULL-TIME hammock in her room, so it's ON!!!

Thanks! No, she isn't camera shy for sure. She's done some videos on her own.
Memory preservation is how i got into videoing.
Walking for many miles is no fun for a kid. So yea, you gotta transition and mix it up and let her play her style of music!
