Video: 8 days of paddling and portaging in Canada's Quetico with my WBBB

The images of my hammock hang are at 3:13 if that is your interest. Hammock gear included: WBBB, AHE Shangri La tarp, and my JRB UQ and top quilt. Everything worked well, but I did get misted one night when we had heavy winds and rain, and my tarp was parallel to the wind so it blew in through the ends. I got up in the middle of the night and pitched it closer to the hammock ridgeline, which really helped. Doors on the tarp ends would have been effective too, but I had what I had. Here's the video, happy to answer any questions:

Great video of a great trip. Looks like a lot of fun. Those canoes looked really nice. Were they able to carry as large a load as you would expect?

Thanks for sharing. That looked beautiful. Have to love the Canadian wilderness. I'm heading up to Algonquin in 2 weeks to close out trout season. Can't wait. Hope I get lucky and catch some of those delicious lakers.

Beautiful area but those portages are no fun - especially those 1/2 mile ones. Those canoes are beautiful. Thanks for sharing your trip with us.

Wow! Beautiful scenery and those fish scenes made my stomach growl! Looks like the skin on frame boats made it through just fine, they are beautiful works of art to paddle. Enjoyed the video and thanks for posting.

Yes, the weight is well-distributed in the canoe, so no issues.

Yeah, the portaging is fatiguing, but you get a helluva workout!

Put it on the bucket list. It's well worth it!
You have some beautiful paddling down there in AZ. I visit a friend of mine in Phoenix every so often and we go up to Tonto National Forest. Paddling is amazing. It was like paddling in the Grand Canyon!
