    Making Tent/Tarp Stakes More Visible

If you've ever dropped a titanium stake in the leaves and dirt and it vanished before your eyes, this is a simple way to add some color to them. I tried using nail polish and it flaked off and didn't look that good so I recommend using Pro-Tec powder paint.

Here is an Instructable that I wrote to describe the process.

    Thanks for the 'able!!!

I had seen using the powder before, but I don't recall the baking. Makes total sense. Nice job.

Works great and a real money saver in terms of lost/replacement of new stakes.

Did mine in Powder Blue #86 simply because I believe the colour is far less likely to be lost sight of in any season,...particularly autumn.

Eek. Very cool idea, but your pot roast must not taste very good after that project..

You heat the stakes up and dip them in the powder then let cool. No worries!

OP also baked them in the oven after heating/dipping to cure the paint further

You don't HAVE to do that though. Instructions suggest using a toaster oven which is probably good idea. Even bring it outside to do it!
