We're just a few days away!
Most of the shopping is done, we're finalizing a few more details, and some of the prep work for food will get done over the next couple days. I even built a portable hand washing station, just for fun.
If anyone is still on the fence about coming, it would be helpful if you could let us know by this afternoon at the latest, one way or the other, as we need to make sure that we have enough supplies to cover everyone - we're going to do the final shopping runs this evening.
We'll base numbers off of where we stand at around 2pm today (Wednesday). So you still have a few hours to sign up!
Ok Got it. Thanx. I got directions to Wading Pines CG. I guess it is a few miles past there, making a right on Hawkins Bridge road. Are these roads marked?
Here's a link to the campsite, pinned on google maps:

It's not marked on google as "Hawkins Bridge Campground" so that makes it a little difficult. However from what I know:
If you come in from Godfrey Bridge Rd., pass Godfrey Camp, and turn right onto Hawkins Bridge Road. Follow that road, and the camp will be on your right. If you hit Hawkins Bridge, you went too far.
If you come from Batona Camp/Carranza, Carranza Rd. turns into Hawkins Bridge Rd. Once you go over Hawkins Bridge, the camp is on your left.
If one of the 'locals' can add anything, by all means.
There's decent enough cell coverage through there and the dirt roads are named so you'll be find with your GPS unit. It'll take you right there.
I take the parkway and drive down godfrey bridge road to get there.

I made a batch of salsa verde last night. My wife saw it in the fridge and started on her usual, "I can't believe your father made salsa verde for a bunch of TOTAL STRANGERS and didn't make any for us." So I made another batch just for the family. Let me tell you, this stuff is VIOLENT. Not too hot, but the combination of tomatilloes, aji peppers, jamaican hot peppers, white onion, cilantro, garlic, black pepper and lime juice is mind-blowing.
It's so good, you're gonna want to put it in your morning coffee. By the way, I have two pounds of fresh-roasted Booskerdoo coffee so bring the french presses!

We've been doing this for 6 years straight, and he's been making salsa verde for the last 5, and she says the same thing every year. Either she doesn't realize that he doesn't go camping with a new group of people every time, or 'strangers' is simply her way of saying 'not me'.
