old news maybe, but I found it funny that no where in the original post does it actually mention what State this is being held in, lol

I knew to assume it was USA, but had to google the park to get the florida bit

Good point. Sorry about the lack of clarity.
For our first 5 years, we were the Florida Hang - which was more self-explanatory.

It's pretty cold at the moment. I have to say though that for me, it was worse when it was cold and wet in the two days leading up to it. Today is colder still but clear beautiful skies. A person can get hypothermia in water that is 60 degrees, I think that's why weather below sixty with 100 percent humidity is the worst of all.

I am not bringing loaner kayak, pfd's or paddles. I am bringing down 4 kayaks on top of my car, but they belong to my carpool group. Maybe some other Hangcon participants will be extra kayaks. The handout you receive when you arrive will list the places where kayaks can be rented.

Every year, someone (probably a lot of someones) neglects to bring a towel. So after a shower, they use paper towels to dry themselves. Which means we quickly run out of paper towels. Then the folks who come in after them - who also neglected to bring a towel - don't have the option to use paper towels. So they resort to drying themselves with toilet paper. Which is a picture I just don't need! And which results in having no toilet paper when it's needed the most.

Please bring a camp towel.

Man plans and ... Life is getting in the way-again. I may be down on Thursday-improbable, I may make it on Friday afternoon or it might be Saturday afternoon and I may leave Sunday morning or may be able to stay and help clean up. Then again highly likely, I may not even make the trip at all. At least this hang does not require and 100% commitment months in advance and no maximum number allowed.
I hope to meet a lot of folks and am looking forward to the hang, but I am now at the mercy of others.
