Hello everybody,
I made a 11'3" hammock and would like to add dual pullouts to each side of the hammock. What distance from the end of the hammock would you recommend I place these dual pullouts?
Thanks

IIRC- it is 1/3 hammock length in from each end ,or 24" either side of the center of hammock. Here again I think this is more personal choice especially DIY.
I have given some thought to pullouts on some of my hammocks. Since my underquilt has tabs on the sides I am going to match their location.
For a netted hammock it's best to lie in it, find the sweet spot, and then roughly mark the location of your head and feet. That's also were the corners of the net should be.
For a no-net hammock you don't really need pull-outs. They're mostly used to pull the net out of your face. Without a net they only hold the hammock open. At least I've never had hammock fabric anywhere where it would have bothered me. And pull-outs can be a problem when used with an underquilt. I stopped using them with my Hennessy Hammock, because they created gaps in the seal.
