Blackbird XLC Order

I have been in contact with them in the last week or so. In fact I got a personal phone call out of the blue concerning a custom order I had requested from them. They are making me a custom WBBB XLC all out of 1.1 with a sewn-on top cover. I have several WBBB's and several Dutch hammocks, including the chameleon. I still prefer Warbonnet because of the footbox and gear loft. I would be patient if I were you.

Personally, I would just stick with Warbonnet and give them time. They'll make it right and I'm sure the material shortage issue is legit. Warbonnet isn't the type of company to lie to people or not try their best. Besides, Dream Hammock has a lead time of 5 weeks, right? Should have the Warbonnet by then I bet. Just my two cents. Either way, you'll be happy with whatever hammock you get. Both are top notch cottage vendors with great products.

The bottom line is that I need to keep mamma happy, I will probably hand my rig over to her and buy me a new one! Something I won’t be happy about, but we are tired of waiting!

Be patient. Warbonnet ( and Dutch ) will be back to make hammocks soon. I had to wait about 3 months one time for a TQ I ordered from one vendor due to backlogs of orders.
