Cold is it only thing, average around that time of year is teens at night, low 30s day. If Lake Erie is frozen by then we wont get much snow, if not we COULD get a couple feet, but I wouldn't expect more than 6" over the weekend. Camp is only half a mile from the cars, and the road to the trailhead is paved.

But if cold and winter weren't my thing, I'd probably not come myself. I don't think I'd call it Hardcore, that's more like those -20° hangs they have in Minnesota, Michigan, and Maine.

I will say we had a great time last year, everyone stayed warm - except Bilal maybe hiked / food / company were fantastic
