VIDEO: Superior Hiking Trail - Canada to Grand Marais

I enjoyed a great four day, 54 mile solo hike from the Canadian Border down to Grand Marais. It was the final section of the trail for me (north of Duluth). There was a lot of rain the first couple days, but the sun came out and it was amazing. I saw a lot of deer, numerous mountain top views, water falls, walking the Lake Superior Shore, and more. The leaves were starting to turn and the temperatures were above average, but very comfortable.

Nice romp on the upper end, I really want to hit that end of the trail next time. We are also tossing up the idea of the Isle Royale.. Cheers man.

That's a lot of water. Made my feet hurt to think about it.

Really enjoyed the music and your sense of humor.

    Cheers.

Cool, but why do you film yourself and not the landscape all the way ? (just a suggestion for the next video)

    Loved the music too.

What tarp is this, maybe I missed it ?

Enjoyed the video. Very entertaining musical choices. I grew up just a few km north of your starting point. Watching your video, I can smell the rotting leaves and the wind off the lake. Thanks for posting that.
Btw Canadians don't put their hands on their hearts during the anthem. That's an American thing, eh? ;-)

    Great video and trip report.

We don't hear much about the northern section of the SHT, esp. north of Magney St. Park. I have often wondered why.

Is it just because it's more isolated, and takes longer to reach the trailheads?
Or is it less scenic than the more popular middle sections? (which I define roughly as Gooseberry to Grand Marais).

I am curious as to your views as to how the northern section compares to middle sections.
