JRB Washington UQ + Warbonnet Ridgerunner Help Needed

I am looking for help in attaching a JRB Washington QU to a Warbonnet Ridgerunner bridge hammock.

I am sure this has been discussed before but I can't seem to find an answer.

I have tried the JRB suggested method but the included straps are not long enough to attach the QU to the hammock suspension ring.

I also tried two straps per side looping the straps over the suspension lines but there are still very large gaps underneath the hammock.

If anyone has any experience and tips for this, I would very much appreciate any help you could give me. I want to go out this weekend for a test spin but don't have enough confidence yet in my set up.

    Thanks.

I tried to delete my original post as I think I may have found an answer to my question. But since I can't delete it, I might as well show you what I came up with.

First, I attached the top of the JRB Washington UQ to the suspension loops at the headend of the RR using mini-carabineers that came with the UQ.

I then took two suspension straps for the UQ supplied by JRB and attached them to the ring on the foot end suspension of the RR with a mini-carabineer.

I twisted each strap around the RR suspension down to the end of each spreader bar.

I then attached the suspension straps to the UQ.

I couldn't lay in the hammock to test the compression but it looked pretty tight to me.

Looks like you got it to work! I wonder if you could just cross your suspension back and forth then clip it. Or larks head the clips on the shock cord where you need them to clip onto. I did a similar thing you did here with my Underground Quilt to make it work on mine Ridge runner. I crisscrossed the cord around the bars till I got it to draw up where I wanted it snug on the hammock.

Thanks for the suggestion. Once I tightened up the end cords, it was snug and tight under the hammock.

Heading out to test the new set up this weekend.

Good luck on your test! I think you will be fine from the looks of the pictures!
