Double layer bridge fabric

Hello all,
I'm looking at starting my first diy bridge hammock. I'm looking to do a double layer with a 40 ish inch spreader bars. I'm 6'4" and not far from 300#. I'm leaning towards two layers of 1.6 hyper d. Mainly trying to avoid it being too stiff. Just not sure if I should go with the beefier 1.9 or even. 2.2? Just looking for advice. Thanks all.

I would think that 1.7 Robic or 1.6 Hexon would be perfect. Both fabrics are very comfortable

I vote 1.7 or 1.9. I think you will find the 1.6 to be a bit stretchy....

I just made a couple for big guys using 1.9 Dobby (double layer). It works great, is plenty strong, and feels comfortable to me (enough stretch even for 155 lb. sleeper).
