This is great info I just ordered one. I emailed them and asked if I could have it by a certain date and was told No Problem!

I strongly urge the purchase of the mesh sleeves. It truly does help compress and roll the Palace Tarp to easily slip into the CF Stuff Sac Provided. However, the mesh is even more important on longer wet trips or thru hikes when the stuff sac is not used and the Tarp is placed in the outside webbing or mesh of the Backpack. In training for a 2018 Thru and the recommendation of Shrewed, I have stopped using the stuff sac and now, honestly don’t miss it on the trail. I also went with the mesh over the original CF skins, not so much for weight as for Packability. CF doesn’t compress as much as the mesh. Just my opinion to help those newer purchasers. Love the Palace though!

I plan to get the whole length mesh snake skins (a la Hammock Gear’s version) and do what you’re saying. Good idea to leave the stuff sac and just use the snake skin in the mesh.
