I bought a set and just picked up... Really light. Everything could be lighter but, these will do.

REI doesn't do 40% off sales unless something is coming out better. I've already got some of these, but how much lighter could the new stuff be?

What is the working weight limit on these? I have no idea what a kilonewton is.

    Conversion

According to this, 20Kn is ~4496lbs.

They were on sale not to long ago for $4.93 IIRC. Through REI.

Very few places sell the nano biners at MFSR.

20kN may be equivelant to ~4500lbs of force, but, to be clear, that's not the "working weight limit"! kN designations are used with carabiners as a statement of the dynamic force that they are rated to withstand in a particular orientation. Momentum=mass*velocity. Different people and different falls will create varying forces. I doubt there's a rated climbing biner which wouldn't be safe for a hammock, however.
