Mid October camping with my DIY summer gear.

Seems like it should be cooler this time of year, but it was nice bring bug net free for the night. Rain fly used as a pine cone deflector.

Yeah what a strange fall. Last week of September and I was smashing mosquitoes, using a sweat rag, swimming, and me wearing shorts backpacking for the first time in my 36-year old life = that's just wrong!

Definitely wired stuff going on, at about 8:30 it was dark, sitting by the campfire and a bumble bee flew into camp, buzzed around for a few seconds and took off. Even the bees are confused.

Sounds like "normal" East TN weather, too! Every season we go from AC to wood stove within 2-3 weeks, and back again the following Spring..... Very nice lookin' rig there, btw!
