Do Mayan Hammocks have calf ridges?

Do Mayan Hammocks, or other net-type hammocks (as opposed to parachute nylon and other sheet-type materials) suffer from calf ridges?

(You'd think someone would have written this down somewhere, but Google isn't being helpful.)

Generally not. Most of these kinds of hammocks have either 1) more forgiving fabric or weave, 2) thicker fabric, like cotton Brazilian hammocks, or 3) just plain huge (~14ft).

Do Mayan Hammocks have calf ridges?

My Brazilian hammock is so wide that i lay it in perpendicular to where the ridgeline would be. no calf ridge for me. I think it's 13 feet long and 7 feet wide

I never experienced a calf ridge during the months I slept in a Mayan hammock, back in the day. Of the hammocks I own now, my Mayan is far and away the most comfortable. Of course, it weighs a ton and (like me) is no longer young.
