    Coeur d' Alene River NRT

It's been a great year of backpacking and I've done a record number of trips this year for me. That means that I've been spending more time backpacking than editing videos.

That being said, this is trip from back in July.

I wanted to come up with a trail that would challenge my wife and I. I came up with this loop a few years ago and I lengthened it a little bit for this trip so that I could hit a section of the Coeur d' Alene River National Recreation Trail that I had cut out the last time. It would be the first time that she had done a trip were we were hiking more than we were camping.

    Thanks for checking it out!

Wow that is some really beautiful country up there! Great seeing you and your wife (and dog) enjoying it together!

The one shot at the creekside rest stop where your dog was dozing off- priceless!

    Great video- Thanks for sharing!

Thanks! It really is a neat trail. It doesn't see much use at all either (and that is by North Idaho standards), though I could tell that someone had done some trail maintenance since the last time I was on it.

Man, I know! I need to ditch it, but I am particular about my holes.

+1 on the shovel. There are much lighter options available to scope out a cat hole. Most excellent to have your hiking partners team up with you! Well done indeed.
