I wouldn't say superior. I do feel much smarter though. When you wake up later in the day and jump out of you hammock and listen to your hiking buddies complain about how bad they slept, I feel smarter.

These rigs are actually a cot surround by a tent , of sorts, and you are never out of your climbing harness attached to the wall by a rope,,,very safe as long as the weather is ok,,,sometimes very cold weather moves in and you have to retreat.Originally Posted by Mrprez

Mostly just enjoy being differentExcept that when I camp out with my friends, they usually won't let me nap in my own darn hammock in peace, since they are always trying it out for themselves!!
I usually don't encourage people to hammock camp too much, actually... It's a set of skills like camping in a tent is, but it's a skill set that you don't know until you've learned it. And it takes a little while to learn
