No matter where I am when I see some trees I'm always looking for the best ones to hang my hammock.
As I like fishing too, I do the same when seeing a lake or river, aiming the spot to throw my fishing line
Does it happen to anyone ?

All the time, drives my better half nuts. But I'm usually like hey drop me off here so I can fish or lounge and come get me later. Never works for me.
Where the trail ends the adventure begins!
Funny! Yes, I'm always looking at how far trees are apart. At work, driving home, it's a sickness as I never plan to hang in these areas so why look?
True that. My family think I have an OCD thing regarding anywhere I could hang a hammock from. I see potential hang sites where before the hammock hobby, I wouldn't have given a second thought to this!
Good to know. Thought that I was getting crazy. Ha ha

No kidding! I'm now an expert at identifying any 15' spacing.
My wife and I went to Cloudland Canyon this past weekend. The plan was to go to take in the beautiful fall color, canyon views, and waterfalls from the rim's edge. While we did see the aforementioned, I could not help but see something else.
If I said it once I said it about 50 times, "Look, there, those trees would be great spot to hang a hammock!".
Getting into the pines like this and having too many options can break my brain...
All the time. Glad to know I'm not the only one with this affliction. I no longer pace trees to measure their distance. I just know.
