Dirk, a little off topic posting someone else's trip report, but as long as your bringing tamales, it's cool . Thanks for the update on the Dogger sighting...he also popped in toward the end in the awards area and he spoke. I was ready to see how we go about getting him on a milk carton. Hope the elf makes it to GT and brings those famous bacon cupcakes.
Any takers on a polar plunge in the Sturgeon River, since a hot tent warm up shelter is available?

My schedule at work changed (again) and I am looking good for making it happen this year. Cnc and I will be coming up together.
No pheasant this year but I'll bring up the coveted Bourbon Bacon Balls, Chocolate Covered Bacon, and a Venison dish to be named... I'll post on spreadsheet accordingly.
Glad to be along again, Cnc recorded out lowest temperatures camping at this event and I still enjoy the bragging rights.

Any tips on how to get my wife to agree to let me drive 6.5 hours to sleep from the trees in winter weather?
Sure, tell her that you have a form of temporary insanity and need to freeze it out or you or you may explode. If that dosen't work just go with the truth, tell her you just want to hang with the guys. She will understand and if not get down on your knees and beg. LOL!! My wife loves to have the piece and quite around the house for a few days so she just says go.
Oh, I have to drive eight hours from N. Ky. So if you would like to share the ride and can leave one or two days early give me a shout and maybe we can share the ride.
