Okay folks, short notice, but I've reserved Gator Hole in Green Swamp West for Thanksgiving weekend. We'll meet Friday the 24th at the McNeil trailhead and hike the approximate 1 1/2 mile into camp. I will make copies of the reservation and leave them on my truck. Just take one and leave it on your dashboard. McNeil parking lot is on Hwy 471. Hope to see you all there!

I was really hoping/planning to attend a Thanksgiving weekend hang. But, I've been offered that job in Georgia and since I start up there on the 11th, I will most likely be packing up my house and/or driving up there to look at places to rent rather than having a relaxing weekend in the woods. Will miss y'all! Hope to still come to a hang here and there in Florida, time permitting.
Sorry to hear that some won't be able to make it. Being Thanksgiving weekend we figured that there would be some that couldn't come. Trying to work on a twice a month schedule for the season. My wife and I are heading out this am to check out a new bit of woods for the Dec 8-10 weekend. Something not in conflict with the hunters in LWRSF.

I'll be a no show this time, but hope to someday get to the Gator Hole. I like olddog's idea, keep us posted.
My girlfriend and I are going to try to make this hang. Will be her first-time hammock camping and on Florida piney woods.
