Hey from NC!

New to the forum. I've been into hammock camping for a couple years, but only in mild weather that didn't truly need an UQ. I have been able to manage with some folded wool blankets under my backside, and recently purchased a Klymit Hammock V, which worked pretty well on my last outing where it got down to about 50 degrees. I joined here because I've caught the MYOG bug, and want to make a hammock as well as an UQ and TQ. Anyway, thanks for the add.

Hello, if you need any help feel free to ask the forum. My daughter and I have recently made two tarps, one hammock, two top quilts and two bottom quilts. You could say that we have an epidemic and not just a MYOG bug. It's been so worth it and I would do it again.
Jellyfish has some really good videos on YouTube, search Jellyfish, that really helped me with my projects.

Thanks everyone. I'm really looking forward to learning new things, and improving my thread injecting skills. I've watched several videos, and especially enjoy those by jellyfish. She's taught me quite a bit so far

Welcome from Greensboro! The MYOG bug is a tough master! I have made several hammocks and UQ’s with synthetic insulation. Got stopped mid-project on a tarp when we moved. Haven’t gotten back to it yet with a newborn in the house. Have fun!
