Depends on the UQ. The Lynx uq from Warbonnet fits it perfectly.
Not so tight that it compressed the down.

Really will depend on the quilt used. Most of the fitted quilts like we and several others make can't be adjusted to a point of being too tight...or even adjusted at all. They are built to fit exactly without the need to adjust, or method to adjust. But using a gathered end quilt on the RR can get you into something that you could over ajdust....just shoot for the quilt being snugged up to the hammock...just enough to hang there in contact and you should be good.

What kind of underquilt are you asking about?

I've got a DIY rectangular underquilt and it attaches nicely to my RR. But I'm not quite sure how much tension there should be on the shock cord..

Enough tension to keep it snug on the hammock. I would worry less about tension on the shock cord and more about fitting the quilt to the hammock without gaps. You'll know laying in it when you've got it right

If your spreader bars look like their smiling, you may have too much tension.

^^^ You'll definitely hear a tear or snap somewhere before your spreader bar even begins to smile.....

It's probably hard to tell because the "body" of the hammock is loose and floppy when it's unoccupied, somewhat unlike a normal gathered end. I noticed this weekend when I was showing some folks my WBRR and Lynx setup that the double bottom is probably just a hint larger than the Lynx. For adjustment there's only a giant rubber band on the corners at the foot end. That's really not any significant adjustment to speak of but it seems to work great.

If you're trying to adapt another style/shape to the bridge I'm not sure if you should run it to the ends of the suspension triangles near the webbing or the hammock corners. The amount of sag is quite a bit less in the bridge so I believe it's going to be kind of tough pulling the corners tight enough to fit right.

I've got a Jarbidge synthetic UQ and a 2nd WBRR. I'm interested in whether or not I can fit this very well for one of my kids to use. The 3/4 length UQ is nearly a full length for him.
