    It works just fine.

Agreed! I use 2 UQs every night now--I didn't have any issues and didn't take too much fiddling either. For me, I have a short HG 20* then a full AH 3-season under that--adjust the sags, and boom, I have had great luck. I have a 2QZQ UQ protector coming, too, so I should be good down to 0*, I reckon--I have been down to 11* so far this season with no issues.

    Two underquilts, simultaneously?

I spelled it "just right" for our entertainment.
Reminds me of the DIY guy, wanting to use dryer lint to stuff his underquilt, and SilvrSurfr described it as belly button lint.
If I died tomorrow---at least I had fun in my hammock, and get grand entertainment and useful information on Hammock Forums.
Hope I live long enough to hammock in Pine Barrens with SilvrSurfr and the gang.
Reminds me of a story--SilvrSurfr makes colorful references about residents of Pine Barrens.
A phrase I've heard, but cannot attribute to SilvrSurfr
Pineys have three toes, drink cheap wine, and marry their sisters.
While camping in Pine Barrens, SilvrSurfr's car breaks down and who should show up and offer to "fix" it but a Piney. SilvrSurfr's worst fears were unfounded (that day)--the Piney got his car going!
I tell a shaggy dog story that uses "asbestos" in place of "as best as" I can. Not enough time to tell it here--time to rest in hammock.

Good to hear. I was looking into building a 2nd UQ. I think I will not go quite as heave with the fill knowing I can stack them up.

When it’s going to fall well below 0f I will put my 30f full length over my 0f wooki. Works perfect. Paired with a 0f top quilt been to -18f without a hint of a chill.

I've done this with decent success before I got my 0 degree underquilt. Its doable but not ideal in my opinion.

Yep did it this winter down to 8F. Used a HG 0 and a HG 20 with the zero closest to me. Worked a charm and I sleep cold.

Like many have stated check for gaps / drafts and don’t compress either one.

I used my two 20° Loco Libre underquilts down to -13° this winter and was toasty warm.
