    snakeskin vendors?

I'm looking for snakeskins for a Blackbird hammock and ones for a Superfly tarp. Anybody know who sells them? Would I need different sizes? What sizes would I need? Thanks in advance.

The only real vendor for those is Hennessy. They are a patented item.

Is there a way to get around the patent w/o being illegal? Like... a snakeskin with a face? or a UL cinch strap that uses an inventive item called cord lock? just thinking to myself....

DIY your own, not for sale.

    Otherwise, not worth the effort.

Thanks, didn't know they were patented. Can't be to hard to make though, just saying. How big are around are they? I guess they are different for the hammock and for the tarp?

These are pretty easy to make. They are sized for a tarp, so you'd need to make them bigger for a hammock.

Thanks I'm going to make some next week. I found where people think bishop bags might work better for hammocks. I have to search on here and see how to make those.

Have #4 snakeskins for my MacCat deluxe, works fine so far. Use the two ended bag that came with the WBBB for the WBBB,,works good also.

I've ordered a blackbird but haven't gotten it yet. I'm glad to hear that it comes with a bag that works good for it. One less thing to make or buy. I've just been cutting up an old mosquito net to start making my snakeskins. There sure is a lot of information in this site and lots of friendly people to point you in the right direction too. Thanks everybody and please excuse me if I ask something that's already been beaten to death. I'll try and search first, eventually I'll probably figure out my way around this great site.
