My friend texted me last night and said let’s go hang, the low will only be 37F.
I have about 10 acres on a mountain overlooking my city. We loaded up some winter gear and drove up to my property about 7 PM last night.
We built a fire ring and had a roaring fire next to a large boulder that is reminiscent of the Sipsey Wilderness.
We had a whitetail deer come running through camp about 7:30 this morning!
I seems that someone hung a couple of private property signs near the border of my land, but I figure it is OK with me... saves me from having to do it.
I moved my hammock late at night because a tree was leaning over resting on two other trees. It would creak in the wind and made me nervous about being close to them!
Here is a photo of my DIY setup and the boulder in our camp. A fun, spur-of-the-moment outing.
The third photo is what was revealed this morning as the leaning trees!
