    Quick Overnight Hang

My friend texted me last night and said let’s go hang, the low will only be 37F.

I have about 10 acres on a mountain overlooking my city. We loaded up some winter gear and drove up to my property about 7 PM last night.

We built a fire ring and had a roaring fire next to a large boulder that is reminiscent of the Sipsey Wilderness.

We had a whitetail deer come running through camp about 7:30 this morning!

I seems that someone hung a couple of private property signs near the border of my land, but I figure it is OK with me... saves me from having to do it.

I moved my hammock late at night because a tree was leaning over resting on two other trees. It would creak in the wind and made me nervous about being close to them!

Here is a photo of my DIY setup and the boulder in our camp. A fun, spur-of-the-moment outing.

The third photo is what was revealed this morning as the leaning trees!

Wow, it's nice to have your own land to hang out on. The spur of the moment trips can turn out to be some of the best.

It's great to be able to pack up last minute for an impromptu overnight. Great job, glad the tree didn't fall on ya!
