    Question Silnylon question...again

I need a little clarification. Is "silicone impregnated" synonymous wth "silicone treated" or "coated". What is the difference in the process which makes one different from the other? This site calls theirs "coated". I need some learnin"!!

The site you linked to sounds like silnylon. Man that stuff is expensive. Speer's silnylon is only $4.00 per yard When I think of sil I think silicone impregnated but coated on both sides would work just as well.

That does look pricey. The link says it is also only 30 denier. That seems a little thin to me.
Is that too much to ask? Girls with frikkin' lasers on their heads?

i believe impregnated means that the individual fibers of the fabric are coated, so its present on both sides and in between, and thus will not wear off like coated will, also, the impregnation increases the strength of the fabric, i believe 1.1 oz silnylon has a higher tear strength than 1.9 oz breathable/70 den.
