HG Incubator 20 vs UGQ Zeppelin 20

Hi. I am really new to hammock camping. Actually, if my co-worker had not told me about UQ i would have had a really bad time of it on an upcoming planned backpacking trip.
I have enough time before the trip to be able to have either made.
I just bought an Eno Doublenest Onelink from the REI cyber sale, and before just used hammocks as a place to nap in parks and in the backyard
After running around the web and seeing what is out there (and there is a TON) I have pretty much narrowed it down to these 2.
I am 5'4" and so these sizes will be "full-coverage" for me.

These are the specs that seem the most important, but I was wondering what I might be overlooking -

Both will be the 850 goose down fill

    HG Incubator:
    Size: 73x44" (short)
    Fill: 11oz
    Wt: 20.25 oz
Included Accessories: suspension, stuff sack, storage bag
    Price: $245 (including shipping)

    UGQ Zeppelin:
    Size: 66x44"
    Fill: 11.87oz
    Wt: 21.71
    Accessories: suspension, stuff sack
Price: $224.85 (incl shipping) *currently on sale
**for an additional $10 I can shave off 1.35 oz by upgrading outer material which will make it closer in weight and price to the HG (is it worth that $10 to go this route?)

From what I see, the main difference seems to be in that additional .87 oz of fill and the length. So, does that make the UGQ fluffier/loftier/warmer?
From other posts, it sounds like both are great, but tend to favor the HG. Does the sale price of the UGQ swing the vote?
Because of the pricing... I am leaning towards the UGQ Zeppelin

Thanks for helping a ground dweller learn to swing in the trees

I have a Zeppelin and love it! But I also have a Wilderness Logics, a Jacks R Better, and 2 Loco Libre's and love them as well. I honestly don't think you can go wrong with either of your choices.

66" Zeppelin will fit you perfectly as full coverage (cover your head too). I'm 5'7.5 and have a 71" wide Zeppelin with about 3-4 inches to spare (I like to ooze a bit). With the 66", with my head below the edge, my heels end up resting right on the bottom edge / shock chord. Many use the UQ with their heads off the quilt, so the edge comes up around your shoulder, rather than your head, but they tend to use a pillow - I don't use a pillow, so like the coverage all the way up over my head.

The difference between the two is, the HG has a shelf for the leg area, which means it has less down, because a lot of people don't need as much coverage for their legs. But we're all different. Be honest about your body and how it gets cold, or hot, how you like to sleep (I've heard some say they have trouble sleeping on their sides using a HG).

I think this is untrue : the Incubator does not have less down at the feet area, it is its special cut, conforming to the body's anatomy that makes it look like that. The feet area is lifted.

I got a HG Incubator "ECON" 20 so I saved money on premium duck down.
I am not concerned about the added weight.
    I collect vintage camp stoves.
    I roast coffee at home.

Oh, really? I've read this so many times; it seems I'm not the only one who thinks this. But then, I don't own an incubator and have never seen one in person. Maybe someone from HG can clarify this? I don't want to give out misinformation.

Honestly, as an owner of a UGQ Zeppelin and a HG Burrow, they are so close in quality and stats that I don't think you can go wrong with either quilt you're considering. The only issue I have is your choice in hammocks...it's kinda like putting lipstick on a pig...he he!

Lol. Well, gotta start somewhere. I'm glad to see that both UQs have people owning them and replying here. I think I'm gonna go up a size because I do get cold easily and would rather pay for that in weight.

Anyways, which hammock (without breaking the bank) would you suggest? - Though I think I may start a new post with that as my new topic of research

I would agree, a new thread, with some information about you, your experience, and such.
There are SO MANY good hammock makers out there.

And, you could go to some local hangs and see what is available. In SOCAL, that should not be a problem. My sister said it was 88 there the day before last.
